B Brian Atwood = B Bananas

Hi!

Get ready ladies, shoe designer to the stars, Brian Atwood, announced that he will be doing a more affordable line of shoes that will hit stores next fall.

Atwood followed many designers such as Zac Posen and Jil Sander by creating affordable lines for the masses. So exciting!! There is nothing better than stepping out in a fantastic pair of Atwoods -- The heads will definitely start turing as you strut down the street:)

This only inspires the Robert James line (and James by Robert James) even more:) Muwhahahhwhwah.

Emmy's Best and Worst Dressed List

Hi!

While I of course loved the opening Glee-inspired intro, as well as Modern Family's win, the best part about the Emmy's always will be the fashion. While there were many hits this year, there also were many misses that actually made me wish I had a blindfold (seriously).

Here is my list of the best and worst starlets:

Best Dressed

Lea Michelle. While navy was the color of the evening, the Glee songstress looked stunning in her floor-length Oscar de la Renta gown. While she didn't win an award, she definitely was a winner in my book. (She also made me even more excited for the next season of Glee!) P.S. Tina Fey also rocked it in her Oscar de la Renta gown.

Kim Kardashian. Kim is always naturally gorgeous, but the exotic beauty looked even more stunning than usual in her white Marchesa gown. I couldn't stop staring at the Grecian Goddess.

Claire Danes. I always die for sparkles, so Claire Danes' Armani Prive gown had to make my list. So simple, yet so over-the-top = pure genius.

Sofia Vergara. Sofia could basically wear anything and be drop-dead beautiful, but her Carolina Herrera gown made her truly look like the television star that she is. I also am obsessed with how she rolled the "r's" in the designer's name.

Jane Lynch. This Glee star (and winner!) looked so gorgeous and classic in her Ali Rahimi gown. I died.

Kyra Sedgwick. Sorry, I had to add one more- Way to go Kevin Bacon, your wife looked beyond elegant and chic in her Monique Lhuiller gown. Amazing.

Worst Dressed

Mindy Kaling. AHHHHHHH! What the hell is that, Mindy?! This The Office star needs to leave the 80s behind.

January Jones. While I appreciate the Mad Men star's bold fashion choice. I could not get passed the Madonna-inspired cone-shapped boobs. Her messy, "natural" looking hair also did not match the drama of the Atelier Versace gown.

Jewel. While the singer's performance was very moving, I wish she would've moved off the red carpet in her southern, lace, prom, 80's dress, thing. No thanks. Plus...the bow was crooked!!

Anna Paquin. While I adore and respect McQueen, Anna's gown just did not work for me. It didn't fit her right, and made her look too much like a warrior (and less like a vampire).

Lauren Graham. Lauren's black and white Yigal Azrouel gown literally looked like a bunch of rags thrown on a body. No thanks.

I hope everyone enjoyed the Emmy's as much as I did...I can't wait to commentary on the next award's show. Stay tuned!:)

"Zoe M G!"

Hi!

As many of you know, I'm obsessed with "The Rachel Zoe Project," and desperately love tuning in every Tuesday night to see what shenanigans are happening behind-the-scenes of the Zoe camp. While many may consider this show a guilty pleasure, I consider it a necessity in life.

There is absolutely nothing better than witnessing what new phrase will come out of Zoe's mouth, which fur will be wrapped around her body, and/or what meltdown will occur during fashion week...pure genius. Her husband, Rodg., and style director, Brad also are amazing with their one-liners and over-the-top personalities.

Believe me, I am thrilled that I have the first two seasons on DVD (No--I'm not ashamed), and can't wait until next Tuesday's episode. From now on, I will most definitely be recapping my favorite episode moments every Wednesday...So stay tuned:) It will be bananas.

"And I am Telling You"...Jennifer Hudson is not going

Hi everyone!

Jennifer Hudson truly is not going anywhere...thank god. I had the privelage of reading InStyle Makeover today, which featured the lovely J-Hud. The amazing nine page spread offered a truly inspiring look at J-Hud's new body, and new outlook on life. This is a definite must-read! (Pay special attention to the photo on page 82. I literally died upon seeing it:)

Michael Kors..."My New BFF" (Sorry, Paris Hilton)

Hi everyone!
I just finished reading the absolute best article about Michael Kors on NYMag.com. (http://nymag.com/fashion/10/fall/67504/index3.html). You must read it. NOW!

I've always had a deep respect for Kors' collections, but this article literally made me want to call Kors and immediately go to dinner with him (or a Broadway show because he apparently loves theatre...perfect:).

I also gained a new respect for Kors with his references to the Olsen twins, Manhattan, and his reaction to Ralph Lauren -- the article literally got better with every line. A definite must read.

Thank you, New York Magazine...for making Michael Kors my latest obsession.

I want Louis Vuitton...NOW. And so do you!

Hi!

As I was strolling down Fifth Avenue today (trying to dodge tourists), I had the sudden urge to fly to Paris (of course). So naturally I had to pop into one of my all-time favorites...Louis Vuitton. (I actually received my first Vuitton item for my 18th birthday from lovely friends from high school -- I hope they are reading this post).

Anyway, as I was browsing through floors of monogram bags, I decided that everyone (both men and women) need the below tote bags for fall. Both bags are so classic, and will last forever. So make sure to save those pennies so you can have your first (or tenth) Vuitton experience. (And yes, it really is like the Sarah Jessica Parker and Jennifer Hudson moment in the Sex and the City movie).

Women.

You need the Neverfull GM bag as if your life depended on it. This bag will literally fit your entire life, and is great for work or a weekend at the park. $750.00.

Men.

Get Persian ready with the Tadao tote. This bag says sophisticated and chic, without being over the top. I die for this bag! $1,420.00.

Even if you can't afford these bags right now (like me), please dream with me.

Must Read: Last Night at Chateau Marmont

Hi everyone!

I recently had the luxury of attending the reading and signing of Lauren Weisberger's new book, Last Night at Chateau Marmont. Let me say, the author of The Devil Wears Prada has created another juicy must-read. While I've only just started the novel, I can't wait to keep reading. It's the perfect guilty pressure to end the summer. Any fashion kid worth their soul needs to pick up a copy...NOW!

P.S. Lauren Weisberger is sooo sweet! Definitely worth the trip to Barnes & Noble!

Swarming myself with September issues. Amazing:)

Furs, Leopards, and Camels, OH MY!

Hi Everyone!

Sorry it's been so long! This life in New York has been a fashionable whirlwind! But I'm back, and ready to offer style advice for my favorite upcoming season...FALL! Let's be real, there is absolutely nothing better than an amazing fall coat as your are walking through a gorgeous pile of colored leaves in Central Park. (OK...maybe that's too good to be true, but it could happen, right?)

No matter where you are in the world, incorporate my three absolute favorite fall trends (below) as the leaves begin falling as you strut down the street.

1. Fur. I've said it before, and I'll say it again. I love fur! There is nothing better than seeing that little fur accent on a coat, boots, vest...well anything. Chanel had faux fur all over the runway, so now it's your turn to incorporate fur into your wardrobe as well. Try this great scarf from Target with just the right amount of fur detailing. $5.94. http://www.target.com/dp/B002B4G96C/ref=sc_qi_img_viewdetails?ie=UTF8&title=view%20full%20details

2. Leopard. It really must be animal season (thank god!). Leopard print detailing was seen all over the fall runway. This fantastic animal print is the easiest way to have that cool, luxurious feel as you step out into fall. Try a leopard print shoe, jacket, belt, bag, etc. Just don't have an entire leopard outfit. (Unless you belong in a zoo). Try this lovely leopard print clutch from Ann Taylor for the perfect hint of leopard. $138. http://www.anntaylor.com/catalog/product.jsp?productId=26499&N=1200016&pCategoryId=3941&categoryId=211&Ns=CATEGORY_SEQ_211&loc=TN&defaultColor=Pale%20Camel&defaultSizeType=Regular

3. Camel. While black will always be in style, try camel as the must have neutral of the season. A lovely camel dress or bag is perfect for a night out on the town. This Ralph Lauren Blanche Came Hair Dress is the easiest way to have elegant, neutral style. $998. http://www.ralphlauren.com/product/index.jsp?productId=4242986&cp=1760782.4069587&ab=int_080310_WLP_NEWARRIVALS_SHOPNOW&parentPage=family

Make sure to take these trends into consideration this fall, and you will sure to be the most fashionable person in the room!
